This is the only legal guide for parents on the market

It's short and easy to read in the evening or two. It shares the hypothetical accounts of real world legal choices parents make (or lack thereof) and how those unfold. Most parents have plenty of parenting books on their shelves but few have resources like this about the legal life they acquired when their baby was born or adopted. – Martha Hartney

Read this book & you'll know your kids & money are taken care of, in case anything happens to you.

After reading it, I now give a copy to each of my financial planning clients

"Outstanding book! This book was recommended to me by another financial planner. After reading it, I now give a copy to each of my financial planning clients. It is written in very easy to understand stories that captivate the reader while educating him or her. This book is not intended to replace a professional attorney, but it should be read before meeting with one (I do not think the one negative reviewer understood this). As a parent, I highly recommend this book to other parents."  – Chuck Rylant

Shane Jasmine Young, Esq.
Founder, Attorney, & Counselor at Law at YOUNG LAW

Shane grew up in Las Vegas, graduating Valedictorian from Green Valley High School in 1997. In April 2000, five months pregnant with identical twins, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. After college, Shane and her family moved back to Las Vegas, where she attended UNLV’s Boyd School of Law and earned her law degree in 2004, graduating Cum Laude and receiving the Dean’s Award.

During law school, Shane served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Lloyd D. George and was published in the Nevada Law Journal, also serving on the Law Review as the Nevada Law Editor. Besides, she received CALI Awards for earning the highest grade in multiple courses, including Lawyering Process III, Real Property, and Commercial Law.

Following law school, Shane worked in private practice for two prestigious national law firms. She was fortunate to gain experience in many different areas of law, including transactional, regulatory, and litigation. As a law firm attorney, Shane had three more children, who inspired her to continue her commitment to serving our community, explicitly representing minors through the Children’s Attorney Project.

The Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada has recognized Shane for her Pro Bono work and volunteering hundreds of hours to providing free legal services to those in need. Shane has been selected for the “40 Under 40” Award by In Business and named among the Legal Elite by Nevada Business Magazine as well.

Shane is a member of the State Bar of Nevada and is licensed to practice in the Nevada State Court, United States District Court for the District of Nevada, United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and United States Supreme Court.
